The Pressed Billionaires is a series of mixed-media prints examining wealth, power and the personalities that shape contemporary capitalism. Inspired by Brian Froud's Pressed Fairies, the works present influential billionaires as specimens pinned beneath glass—compressed into the symbols, landscapes and systems that define their public identities.
Combining traditional printmaking techniques with digital illustration, laser-cut matrices and watercolour, each portrait pairs its subject with imagery that reflects the social, political or economic structures through which their influence is exercised. Rather than documenting individuals, the series explores broader questions of power, myth-making and the cultural narratives surrounding extreme wealth.
